Meaning: Huraira is an Arabic name for boys and girls that means little cat, kitten. It is used by Muslims after Abu Huraira who is a sahabi (i.e. a companion of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah upon him and his companions). Linguistically, huraira is the diminutive form of hirr (cat).
